Senior camping? Well We are seniors and we decided to take up camping. Late in life, I know... My husband Stanley is 80 and I am about to reach the completion of 69 years and starting a new year of 70. So, basically that means I’m having my 69th birthday August 31st. Hoorah! In this video we set up our Napier tent that gets attached to our Honda CRV. Stanley splits wood and on occasion we mince words with one another, most of that is edited out. The bottom line is, we get the job done, enjoy the process and still like one another a lot! In about the middle of the video I share my idea on how to get your partner to change their mind, or go along with you on an idea that maybe they are saying no to or are reluctant to engage in. An interview with Stanley… he shares his thoughts on why people like to go camping. Our camping site was at Jordan Valley Campgrounds. They no longer have the Yurts, but all other campsites are available and fun to be at. It’s in the midst of wine country and so, not mentioned in the video is how we went to the “Cave” winery. There is a tiny village nearby with fun shopping catering mostly to vacationers.
