Deviramma Temple is situated on top Devigiri hill near to Bingidi Village which is around 3000 feet above the sea level in midst of lust green. It belongs to the Chandra Drona parvata of Mullayanagiri hill range, the highest peak point in Karnataka located in Chikmagalur. Deviramma temple will be open only once in a year on the day of Naraka Chaturdashi i.e. the first day of deepavali. Devotees climb up the hill to take Deviramma darshana on the day with fasting and bare footed, the steep Devigiri hill on the early morning of the Naraka Chaturdashi. Even some devotees carry firewood, clothes, ghee to offer and pray for their problems. To reach Sri Deviramma temple from Chikmagalur town which is about approximately 32 Kms. The bus facilities are available on the day of Deepotsava from chikmagalur town to Mallenahalli and further to reach the hill top, one has to take around 8 Km of forest greenery walks in the coffee plantations towards the steep hill of deviramma betta. It can also be reached from Arsinguppe, Manikyadara, Bababudangiri and Mallenahalli.
