This morning, I couldn’t stop thinking about her. I had to find her before she disappeared. When I finally saw her, my heart broke. She was still wandering, looking for help, but no one stopped for her. I knew she needed more than I could offer, but I couldn’t leave her. It hurts to think she might have tried getting into other cars and was rejected. Now, she’s safe with me, resting until we can get her to her medical foster. Despite everything, she’s so sweet. She deserves the best. This sweet Golden is now in the care of @lolasluckyday. Sydney just had her first vet appointment. Here’s what they found: She’s about 4 years old and has an old untreated pelvis fracture. This led to severe hematomas, causing the swelling on her back and underside. The vet drained 4 liters of blood from her today! She’ll need surgery next week. On top of that, she has a flea allergy, demodex, parasites, is heartworm positive, and underweight. The vet was amazed she could even walk. Her foster parents will help her through each issue, one by one. She’s no longer alone and has a strong support system now. The swelling has gone down, her coat is growing back, and she’s preparing for heartworm treatment. Sydney is facing her challenges step by step, and I’m so proud of her. There’s nothing more heartwarming than seeing Sydney curled up in her cozy bed with her “husband” by her side, finally living the life she always deserved. With her foster parents’ love and the companionship of her friends, Sydney is conquering life's joys one day at a time.
