This project was developed by Dilara Diken from Bancesehir University, Turkey. It is an analysis of the adverse effects of high LET radiation on the mouse gut microbiome and consequently on the nervous system causing psychological illnesses like depression and anxiety. Dilara joined the program without any background in bioinformatics and spent 3 months learning about various data processing, analysis and interpretation techniques as well as working to find, analyze and present her findings.
