In this Video I have shown some bits of my IIT Delhi M-Tech Final year project. The project was about Automation of Hydro turbine system for voltage and frequency (RPM) control. The Lab is Wind and Hydro Energy lab in IIT Delhi block V. Energy studies department. My professor (Guide) Dr. T.S. Bhatti was instrumental for this project. We have used Butterfly valve for the control of Water flow using LabVIEW Software environment and Hardware data cards for the control. The valve hasn’t been mounted on the pipe in the video. Although the video shows how programming has been completed in order for the valve to rotate and react to the changing frequency. The Valve closes if the input frequency is large and valve opens If the frequency is low, in order to allow more water in. There is one more video bit showing how to acquire data through NI DAQ 6008 of LabVIEW. Into the computer.
