Umgeben von riesigen Mais- und Getreidefeldern versteckt sich in einem kleinen Eichenwald ein Schloss im Stile der Renaissance aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. Sein eigentlicher Name bedeutet grob übersetzt auch „ein mit Eichen bepflanzter Ort“ und so ist es nicht weiter verwunderlich, dass diese gewaltigen Bäume das Gemäuer vor allzu neugierigen Blicken schützen und ihm so eine Aura des Geheimnisvollen verleihen. Die Geschichte des Schlosses reicht jedoch deutlich weiter zurück, denn die ältesten Gebäudeteile stammen noch aus dem 15. Jahrhundert. Ursprünglich war dies nämlich lediglich ein Herrenhaus, bestehend aus zwei Türmen und einigen Zimmern. Erst Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts wurde die Anlage erweitert und zu dem umgebaut, was wir heute als Château Secret kennen. Kommt mit uns auf eine geheimnisvolle Entdeckungstour zu einem der spektakulärsten verlorenen Orte, die wir jemals erkundet haben … Surrounded by huge maize and corn fields, a castle in the style of the Renaissance from the 19th century is hidden in a small oak forest. Roughly translated, its actual name also means “a place planted with oaks” and so it is not surprising that these huge trees protect the walls from prying eyes and give it an aura of mystery. However, the history of the castle goes back much further, because the oldest parts of the building date back to the 15th century. Originally, this was just a mansion, consisting of two towers and a few rooms. It wasn't until the middle of the 19th century that the complex was expanded and converted into what we now know as Château Secret.
