Is this Boho Painting with a Twist? / NEW and I Love it!

I’m excited to share something very special with you this week—my latest painting, Lucky Charm. 🌟 I started this piece with a simple, intuitive approach, letting the shapes form naturally as I broke free from the horizons I've been exploring in my recent works. The process felt incredibly liberating, and as the painting evolved, I realized how much of my artistic journey is woven into it. Lucky Charm became a blend of so many techniques and elements I've embraced over the years: Organic, transparent layers on raw canvas—a hallmark of my landscape paintings. A composition that gives a subtle nod to my botanical roots, while remaining abstract. White linework, drawn from my graphic design background, adding a crisp, modern touch. And plenty of negative space, reminiscent of my Dutch pours, which creates a sense of openness and calm. The four prominent "petals" in the composition made me think of luck, which inspired the title. This piece feels like the first in a collection that explores this seamless blend of abstraction, nature, and design, and I’m eager to see where this new direction leads. Your feedback always inspires me! ----------------------------- Today’s Mountain painting is all about experimenting—raw canvas, transparent washes, and just letting the paint flow more freely. I’m using a mix of Sap Green, white, and some raw umber for those rich, earthy tones. The organic shapes are really starting to take form, and I couldn’t be more excited! 🌱 The frame I added gives the whole painting that extra crispness, and the raw canvas peeking through adds so much texture to the composition. I’d love to hear what you think! There’s still more to come as I let the ideas marinate, but I’m happy with how it’s shaping up.
