More known as the home to the world's worst weather, it holds the highest wind gust record at 231 MPH and recorded the 2nd coldest temperature on record at -31f and (-94 with wind chill). It is accessible via the auto road, hiking, and a cog railroad. Famously, all cars who survive the drive up and more dangerously the drive down are rewarded with the famous "this car climbed up Mt Washington" bumper sticker. Though, after this drive the claim should be "climbed down". Trying to balance speed, brake heat, and engine heat tests your true driving ability. The Native Americans named the mountain, Agiocochook, meaning home of the great spirit and would not climb it.
