Fishing With The PHENIX ELIXIR Ultralight Rod!

After receiving numerous suggestions, I finally picked up a Phenix Rod. More specifically, I went for the FX761-1 model which is a 7'6 fast action ultralight. As you may know, I have historically tried some longer rods but have never been super pleased with the balance... Finally that changed! Props to Phenix for an extremely well-balanced, sensitive, fun ultralight rod. I definitely need to keep fishing with this rod to continue forming my opinions, but from everything I can tell, this will likely be my go-to-stick for a lot of techniques. I think the drop shot, slip float, spoon, and deeper jigging applications are the ones I am most excited about, however I was quite impressed in how versatile this rod felt. I honestly think it will be able to do just about anything.
