A tutorial for making tiny wool hands for your needle felted animals. This method only works for needle felted sculptures that are built on armature wire Wire sizes: wire for hands: 26 gauge cloth covered floral wire. wire for attaching hands to main armature frame: 32 gauge cloth covered floral wire. wire for main armature: 18 gauge cloth covered floral wire Other supplies used in this tutorial: white bees wax pellets coconut oil electronic mug warmer fiskar snips pliers disposable muffin tins merino wool I’ve had a couple people ask about measurements/ratios for the wax and coconut oil. You want the mixture to be 3:1 - wax: coconut oil. You want the mixture to have more parts wax than oil. If you find the mixture to be overly sticky and gooey, then you need to add more wax. If you find your mixture to be too hard, then add more oil. You should have a mixture that has the consistency of modeling clay.
