Join me for a walk around West Norwood Cemetery - The Greek Enclosure! We'll peek through mausoleum doors and have a look back in time at the late 1800s where time has stood still for for the people who reside in them. I read a news article a year or so ago saying human remains could be seen poking out of coffins, so I'm heading there to see for myself. Opened as the South Metropolitan Cemetery in 1837, West Norwood Cemetery is one of the Magnificent Seven cemeteries of London and is said to hold the finest collection of sepulchral monuments in the capital. There are 65 Grade II Listed monuments in West Norwood Cemetery. The Greek Enclosure is most impressive of all. #mausoleum #coffin #cemetery
