Aston Martin V8 Vantage X Pack with Peter Levanos as first owner. Now for sale in Sweden.

In 1986, Aston Martin had not used the “Vantage” name for some time, but it was now time to let go of all the stops and create the Aston Martin V8 Vantage X-Pack. The other models had by now moved on to fuel injection, however the X-pack was fitted with no less than four 48 mm Weber’s, bigger valves, different cams, 16” wheels and more. It is easy to understand this is something very different when starting it up. Exterior: Aston Martin metallic colours from this are subtle in the shade, but when exposed to the sunlight, they really come alive. And the colour combination on this Aston Martin V8 Vantage X-pack is just stunning. It is still mostly in the first layer of paint, so you can find some stone chips on the lower spoiler and very small traces of use. Nevertheless, every single little detail on this Aston Martin is in just stunning condition. All chrome and stainless details are perfect and have been on the car since 1988. Aston Martin used 16” wheels from Ronal for the X-pack fitted with proper Michelin tyres today. The aluminium coachwork is straight as an arrow and free from dings and dents. The underneath of the car looks as healthy as the top. Aston Martin is often seen in movie production and the V8 Vantage has been featured in “The Living Daylights” and the last one from 007 “No Time To Die”. But, if you want to see more driving scenes, “Johnny English Strikes Again” is better. Interior: The Aston Martin 6.3l V8 Vantage X-pack is not only a car that makes you look stylish on the outside, the interior is of Rolls Royce luxury level with nothing but the best quality leather and wool carpeting. Walnut wood panels and plenty of proper British buttons. To me, this is how a “Grand Touring” car should be built. With performance enough to take you through any mountain pass and yet be comfortable cruising down Autobahn in 160-200km/h taking you to your destination as fast as any modern car. Arriving in style to the riviera with all the luggage you need fitted in the trunk. And, the trunk is also where you find your original spare wheel, tools and battery. Engine: The engine is what makes the Aston Martin V8 Vantage X Pack so special. That tuned 6.3l V8 with no less than 4 Weber carburettors is as responsive as any race car from this era. This particular car has only covered 26,000 miles or 41,600 km! So the only thing the car has been in need of over the years is a rebuild of the carburettors. And, that was done here in 2021 by Aston Martin specialist. Also, the two brake boosters have been rebuilt and reinstated in the car. Normal service has been done over the years. The five speed ZF gearbox is just perfect and all mechanics on this Aston Martin is very much up to date. History: The Greek business man, Peter Livanos, came in to save Aston Martin in the mid eighties when he bought the company. And, Peter Livanos was the first owner of this particular Aston Martin V8 Vantage X Pack from 1988. The warranty card for Mr Livanos is dated 19th of October 1987 and the car is a year model 1988. At this time, Mr Livanos had the car registered in New York USA and he kept the car there until it was sold to a champagne farm in France. I can see this Aston Martin come roaring through Champagne country side with the trunk full of bubbly bottles. In the spring of 2004, this very special Aston Martin V8 Vantage X Pack found its way to Sweden and has been with the same owner here since. It went through Swedish Technical Test Centre in October 2021 and is very fit for driving. The car comes with original tools and books, paperwork collected over the years and original Swedish registration documents and with these you can register this car easily anywhere in E.U. There is no tax on top of the price and there is no tax to be taken away. It looks to me like the value for Aston Martin cars from this era is just coming out of the fog again. I can not see how there could be a more special car out there in terms of history, colour combination and being in a well-preserved original condition. Are you the one that will see the sun rise in this Aston Martin?
