It seems that Monty Mole has been beamed aboard a passing alien spaceship, given super powers and tasked with retrieving the sacred scrolls of eternal life, which have been stolen by five different Guardians...uh-huh... Ridiculous plot aside, this was a reasonable albeit tough platformer developed by Core Design (Tomb Raider). The objective in each of the stages is to avoid the enemies and kill the boss at the end of the level; this can be made considerably easier by finding the 2 bonus super power-up cannisters (marked with a P) hidden throughout the leveland these increase the power of Monty's basic kick attack. You also find various weapons and there's also a shop where you can buy extra items with the coins that certain enemies drop. Not brilliant, but not terrible either. #retrogaming
