Your love grew as I grew, From my earliest days. كنتَ إسمًا حين أذكر صرتَ رسمًا فيَّ يحفر أكبرُ والحبُّ يكبر من طفولتي ————- Every elegy I heard, Every sorrow that lived within me, Grew and deepened my awareness, O my father. وكل ما سمعته نعياً وكل حزن كان بي يحيي نما وصار يا أبي وعياً ————- My belonging to you, O source of eternal light, Guide me along my path Towards the noblest of deeds. انتمائي لك يا مشكاة نور الأزل دلني في سبلي نحو خير العمل ————— The mixed affection in my veins blossomed, And Abu al-Fadel (al-Abbas) nourished my soul with the water of discipline. والهوى المختلط، بدمي أزهر بي وأبو الفضل سقى روحي بماء الأدب __________ The Youngest of Servants And my plea, Is for you to accept me, Even if only as a consoler. أصغر الخدم ورجائيا إن قبلتني لو معزيا ——————— I would give my life for you, O thirsty one in the desert. In my eyes, I see the child of Karbala, Since my childhood. يا فداك العمر لو غلا أيها العطشان في الفلا في عيوني طفل كربلاء من طفولتي ———————— In the mourning sessions, with tears flowing, My heart clings to Hazrat al-Qassem, And in his name, I perform my continuous supplication. وفي العزا بمدمع ساجم تعلقي بحضرة القاسم وباسمه توسلي الدائم ——————— From him, I seek assistance, He is the sun of guidance, Until I become, by his light, The youngest among those who sacrifice. منه ارجو المدد فهو شمس الهدى كي أصير بضياه أصغر أهل الفدا ————————- It is still echoing in my mind, The call of Imam Hussein (a.s): "Is there any supporter?"
