The Strangest Train Car You Will Ever SEE! Erie Heritage Unit Engine! Couple Trains With DPU Alright

The Strangest Train Car You Will Ever SEE! Erie Heritage Unit Engine! A Couple Trains With DPU Alright! NS Train w 2 BNSF + 2 CN Units + More! 0:00 Intro. 0:53 It is 21 May 2021 and you are pacing Norfolk Southern train #22K along Progress Drive east of the Middle Road crossing on the east side of Dunkirk, New York. You catch up to the power on the train and we see that the second engine on the train is Norfolk Southern engine #1068, the Erie Heritage engine. You pace the Erie Heritage unit past the Werle Road crossing and then turn off you camcorder so that you can run ahead of the train to the Newell Road crossing. You are at the Newell Road crossing as Norfolk Southern train #22K with the Erie Heritage unit arrives and passes. You capture the whole train as it passes the Newell Road crossing. 5:16 It is 20 Mary 2021 and you are at the CSX Mile Post 41 curve as CSX train #Q009 is coming toward you in the distance. We see the train passing under the Control Point 37 signal bridge which is located at Mile Post 40.1. As the train comes around the curve and gets closer to you, the engineer gives you a horn salute. The second engine on the front of this train is CSX 739 which has "Spirit of Birmingham" stenciled on the side of its nose. 9:05 It is 22 May 2021 and you come upon Norfolk Southern train #309 which is powered by a Norfolk Southern engine, two BNSF engines, and two Canadian National engines. You were on West Lucas Avenue went you documented this train. At 9:35 a weird looking car went by and I was wondering what it was. It looked like a boxcar with plastic wrapping attached to the side of the car and there were steel bars in what looked like the door of the boxcar. I had to stop the video and go back a little bit in order to view this car again. When the car re-appeared at 9:35, I stopped the video and looked more closely at the car. After examining the car stopped in front of me on my computer monitor, I came to the conclusion that I was not looking at a boxcar with plastic wrap attached to its side but I was looking at a center beam flat car with bundles of lumber on it. Usually the bundles of lumber meet in the middle of the flat with a small gap or no gap between to bundle of lumber which helps prevent the lumber front shifting back and forth when the car starts or stops. The lumber on this car was not long enough to meet in the middle of the car so there was a steel barrier placed between the bundles of lumber to prevent the lumber from shifting when the train started or stopped. 10:01 It is 22 May 2021 and you are at Third Street and Washington Avenue as CSX train #Q158 passes over the Washington Avenue overpass. The lead engine on this train was CSX engine #500, a model CW44A, which is stencil "Spirit of Grafton" on the side of the nose. 12:44 You are in the parking lot on the southeast corner of Park Avenue and East Third Street as CSX train #Q010 passes. 14:17 You are at the CSX Middle Road crossing on the east side of Dunkirk, New York as the gates go down and you zoom to the east at the curve where the CSX tracks come off the east end of the elevated tracks through the Dunkirk, New York business area. An eastbound CSX double stack train comes around the curve and crosses Middle Road on it was toward Buffalo, New York. This train passes the Middle Road crossing at 17:11. For some unknown reason, the gates do not start to go up after the train passes but stay in the down position until 18:22. I initially thought that there was a westbound train coming that was the reason for the gate staying down. 19:01 You are at the CSX Middle Road crossing as a CSX mixed freight approaches going west. There was a mid-train DPU on this train. 5 Trains in all in this action packed train video filmed in and around Dun Kirk NY the week of 5/22/21 Please help out my channel by leaving a Comment, hit the Like button on my videos when you watch them and SUBSCRIBE to Wide World of Trains to see New Train Videos That I add on YouTube every day!
