Twistification

When my parents and I arrived in Australia in 1960 for reasons to do with my father's dissidence relating to some dodgy governance in his part of former Yugoslavia we couldn't speak any English. I couldn't speak anything as I was still too young but one of the first records we bought here was a self-titled oldtime country album called "The Hootenaires". The Hootenaires were four folk musicians dressed in gingham and country stovepipe trousers and neat short sleeved shirts with ties. They were resplendent with banjos, dulcimers and guitars. I still have, and love, that record and have learned and performed every song on it over time. This song comes from that album. It's a fun little ditty that curiously incorporates the five times multiplication table.
