Powderworkers: One Country. A Collaboration in Tribute to Bones Hillman of Midnight Oil

I'm honored to have been a part of a new and very special international collaboration "One Country." Midnight Oil's beautiful song is played here in tribute to the band's bass player Bones Hillman, who recently passed on. Performed by The Powderworkers, Midnight Oil's global fan base. It's a simple yet passionate song about honesty and unity; very befitting as 2020 draws to a close. I can be seen and heard on flugelhorn after the chorus starts at the 3:50 mark. Joining me in the horn section are Mathieu Brevière (sax) and Ham Factor (trombone). Audio and video were produced by drummer Patrick Joller, who also conceived and managed this mighty project. Two hours after the first post calling for musicians, the band was already over 30 strong. Within two weeks, all parts were recorded and assembled together to make a song we are quite proud of. The group worked together proposing musical ideas and adding a wealth of talent and generosity to this project. Despite living in different countries around our Great Circle, we lived the words of the song to be truly as "one" - not even COVID could close any borders on the Powderworkers... The next step was to produce a music video as a companion to the cover recorded, to let people who were not able to play any instrument to be part of the project too. As for the music, the videos kept coming in. And here we are, one month later, with the project wrapped and ready to be shared with you all. Hope you will enjoy it as much as we had fun doing it.
