Visit to Wounded-in-Action (WIA) Soldiers 12/17/2016

Camp Navarro General Hospital, Zamboanga City December 17, 2016 President Rodrigo Roa Duterte visited and checked the conditions of several wounded-in-action (WIA) soldiers admitted at the Camp Navarro General Hospital in Zamboanga City following their recent military encounters with the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) in Basilan and Sulu from November 18 to December 10, 2016. During the visit, President Duterte distributed financial assistance to sixteen (16) wounded soldiers. Among those who received the aid are PFC Simar Salasain, CPL Ruel Tambong, CPL Ronald Ramos, PFC Charlie Shine Carinal, PFC Romeo Ansino, PFC Mitchwayn Arsenal, SSG Peter Ugsod, 1LT Albert Peralta, PFC Gilbert Verrey, CPL Mortaza Allama, PFC Elmer Dela Cruz, SGT Julbasar Julhasirin, SGT Amilhaidar Tagayan, CPL Ramly Guzman, and PFC Renante Malen. The President also gave financial assistance to the families of three (3) killed-in-action (KIA) soldiers, namely CPL Mushier Kahaluddin, PFC Jay Boctot, and PFC Kennedy Osing.
