Near Side Pirouette Drill Many athletes fail to reach a complete handstand in a pirouette by beginning the transition too late. Practicing a near-side pirouette on a floor bar and falling to your back on a soft Pit Pillow forces the athlete to begin and finish their turn earlier. This will also make them feel more comfortable when they pirouette on the high bar. Training Tip Tuesday!
