Welcome to my 1600th Video Special. I hope you enjoyed this past season of videos. It has been my most challenging so far. I limited myself to filming within the seven miles Ali’i Drive spans, because in the past, I rarely filmed in the area. Among the problems were, having to stand close to my camera as it was filming, due to people being close by, usually in the sun or sitting on rocks. Or going downtown to film, only to have cloudy skies, and not filming at all. Because sometimes the clouds roll into Kona by noon. There was also a period we had Vog, which luckily only lasted two weeks. Here are a few secrets I used to make this season a success. While I filmed the prior season of videos, I filmed about 50 of this seasons videos at the same time. So I had half of the season filmed before I announced it. Another thing I did while filming is, I acted like I owned the place, like I was suppose to be there. If I didn’t go in with that attitude, I would have gotten nowhere. I am very happy with the past one hundred videos and I really hope everyone enjoyed watching them. Season 17 starts Saturday and I hope everyone comes back for that, Enjoy!
