Secret Santa is back and this Christmas is bigger than ever! The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local man gift more than $500,000 this holiday season. A lot more. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to help as many people as he can. We will be surprising deserving people and families every day from now until Christmas with gifts unique to their circumstances. Sam Reay is an incredible friend who always has a smile on his face. Sam has been in the ROTC where he excelled. He is a great leader and would make a fine military officer. This fall things have been a little rough for him. Through it all, Sam maintains a positive attitude and never lets anything get him down. He is currently living in a fifth-wheel trailer and was recently asked how trailer life is. He replied, "I'm not gonna lie - it's pretty chilly." Turns out his propane ran out and he hasn't been able to afford more. He said he's not going to be able to heat the trailer any more because he needs the propane for the water heater and heating the trailer burns the propane too fast. Sam gives so much working at the Idaho State University VSSC helping veterans and is the kindest man you'll ever meet. Secret Santa wanted the EastIdahoNews.com elves to bring an early Christmas gift to Sam so we showed up with a surprise. Watch the video above to see his reaction!
