This is one of FSC virtual meet ups (VMUs) on Zoom which we've started doing in response to the COVID-19 lockdown. These free online webinars covered topics such as ecology, easy to ID species/groups, or projects/recording schemes we can all get involved with. Sharon Hearle from Butterfly Conservation joined us in this webinar. She works on the Back from the Brink Shifting Sands project, helping to restore a mosaic of habitats in the Brecks. She talked about some of the specialist buttefly and moth species found there and their habitat requirements. You can find out more about the project here: https://naturebftb.co.uk/ There's also lots of information to help you identify butterflies and moths on the Butterfy Conservation website: https://butterfly-conservation.org/
