The Secret to Measuring Rubber Tracks - Hint: (It's Pretty Simple)

Here is a quick and easily understandable way to measure rubber tracks for heavy equipment like mini excavators! Buy rubber tracks online here with same day shipping: https://www.fortistracks.com/ Rent heavy equipment here: https://www.rent1.ca/ **************************** "Hey guys, today on Rent1 we’re going to be teaming up with FortisTracks.com and showing you how to measure rubber tracks. When looking up different types of tracks, you’ll notice that each track is represented by a measurement broken into three parts that looks like this (320x86x54). The first number represents the track width in millimeters. If you’re measuring using a tool that uses an imperial based system, than a useful conversion to know is that 10 millimeters makes a centimeters, and an inch is equivalent to 2.54 centimeters. The second number represents the pitch, or the distance between each link’s center to the other link’s center. The last number represents the total number of links in a track. The best way to count the links is to either put a piece of tape on the link you’re counting, or my favourite way if you don’t have tape handy is just to clean the first link and that will be a good indication on which your first link is since the whole track is probably dirty anyways. Just make sure not to count the first one twice and always make sure to measure twice to be sure. Once you’ve got your measurements you can go ahead and order some new ones for your machine! If you’re looking for a place to buy some online, head over to FortisTracks.com. There you’ll find an abundance of different tracks for tons of machines and orders are shipped using same day shipping so down time is minimized.
