This is a common problem on many classic cars and in this case our 1972 Chevy Nova has the same problem. Not only did the window channels rust over time water got in and destroyed the inner structure. Now we had previously ripped off the roof skin but prior to putting a new one on we had to repair, replace and even manufacture new window channels. But all cases are different so rather than being able to apply one technique we had to try out numerous ones to fix these rusty windows. But fixing the windows is only the tip of the iceberg. Exposing the rust allows you to tackle hidden rust, treat / repair inner structure, tackle rear dashboard (upper deck filler) and make sure this NEVER happens again.
