Omihachiman's Sagicho Matsuri, one of Japanese most amazing Fire Festivals held in early Spring, in the first weeks of March annually. Sagicho Floats take months to build, and are all made from food (black beans for black, Yellow Corn, White Rice, Dried Fish etc), the festival lasts only 2 days, the first day floats will parade around the Hachiman moat and shrine, through the old merchant streets and along the canal. The second day the battles will begin, floats will be crashed into each other as dancing and drinking commence, in the evening all the floats return to Hachiman shrine and and then set ablaze!
