I've been asked how I start and finish my stitch lines. It depends, but it oftentimes looks like that. I first start one hole ahead and go back to be able to have a strong starting point where there will be potentially more pressure when used. Then I stitch normally till the end. Normally means sometimes I do a double pass where the tension is higher, like over the top of pockets. When I arrive at the end I go back once or twice and put both ends on the same side (the back side in general, when there is one😁) Cut end burn the ends to seal them. Hope it'll help.
