The newer design of oil filter adapter didn't quite escape oil filtration issues. Several alerts exist on the prior design but the new design (2014 and up) causes the opposite issue. Rather than a lack of filtering the oil filter bypass valve may become damaged causing cold starts to crush or implode the cartridge type of filter. A cellulose type of filter will subsequently allow debris to flow through the engine if this goes on for a lengthy time. Always keep a spare oil filter cap as described in the video.
