The South Downs Way is a 100 mile (161km) National Trail traversing the South Downs National Park between Winchester and Eastbourne. I walked it in March 2022 as the first signs of spring were emerging. I took 8 days to walk it, consisting of 6.5 days of walking, and taking 1.5 days out to avoid nasty weather. I camped every night, using a mixture of wild and "tame" camps.
