GPD Pocket 1 & 2 Review and Comparison | The UMPC is back and It's better than ever

Hello and welcome back to a new video. In this one we will take a look at one of my favorite tech products of the past few years. The GPD pocket. Actually we will take a look at both generations of GPD pocket. The GPD Pocket is, like the name suggests, a pocket sized laptop or UMPC. A modern day Sony Vaio P of sorts. It features an x86 Intel CPU, runs Windows, has a 7-inch touchscreen and a somewhat normal keyboard. It might be the smallest Windows Notebook on the marked. We will take a look at boot times, disk speed and general usage. Finally, we will test some games, like Crysis, GTA San Andreas (the original not remastered) and 4Story (4Nova). To conclude, I love both devices. I watched ads for the Sony Vaio P as a kid and thought it was the coolest thing ever. I even bought an Acer Aspire One netbook at some point because of my love for small pcs. So when GPD announced the first Pocket, I knew I had to get one. I will probably install Linux on the first generation Pocket, since it often feels too slow on Windows. But the Pocket 2 is a great little machine. Especially for late 90s and early 2000s retro gaming in a portable device. Let me know what you would do with a GPD Pocket, or if you even own one. Enjoy. #UMPC #GPD #POCKET 0:00 Intro 0:35 Unboxing 1:33 Physical Comparison 4:16 Boot Times Compared 5:03 Youtube Playback / Web Browsing 6:17 Cinebench R23 7:35 CrystalDiskMark 8:14 GTA San Andreas 9:22 4Story (4Nova) 10:37 Can it run Crysis? 11:23 Conclusion Music: Cheel - Sunday Rain Images: https://www.notebookcheck.com/Acer-As... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Va...
