This dam in the desert holds back an insane amount of water! Every year this river below gets a good release which releases even more fish! This was my first time exploring this dam spillway thing. We set out to catch whatever we could, although our goal was 3 species of fish. Here in AZ this is one of the only active dams you can fish legally. Desert fishing can be awesome, but the lack of access places can be tricky. We did manage some fish here in this spillway, but I will be back in the future for some more Arizona dam fishing.
