Customer also states that after the anomaly ended, the VCR automatically ejected the tape and shut down. The portion of the recording before the anomaly was indeed corrupted, the video signal frequently cut out and was unwatchable through the distortion and static, the audio was also unintelligible. Upon the anomaly, however, it suddenly became clear. The anomaly consists of a prolonged opening frame of the title sequence, with an instrumental of the theme song that cuts out midway. The scene then changes to an outside shot of the Griffin household in complete silence before the broadcast momentarily cuts out. A Peter Griffin missing facial features appears on screen before losing its face entirely while a slowed title instrumental plays. The broadcast then cuts to test bars. It is unknown how the customer was able to view the program through their TeleBlue cable box, as service was discontinued in 2001. Measures Taken: The customer was informed of TeleBlue's discontinuation, and was instructed to return any TeleBlue cable boxes they may own. On 7/25/2003, MacNeil Tech received three cable boxes in the mail from the customer.
