Ms. ‪@SahanaBajpaieOfficial‬ is a renowned Bengali Singer-songwriter from India. Professionally She teaches Bengali Language and Literature at SOAS, the University of London of which she is an alumna and a Ph.D. Scholar in Ethnomusicology at King's College London, the University of London. In this talk Ms. Bajpaie shared her Life Journey from her childhood to college life to professional life. Why she left singing and then what has changed her mind to start Singing again. She born and bought up in West Bengal, India and completed her education in Kolkata. In her early life she never wanted to be a Singer, but when she was in her teenage, she got inspired by Kabir Suman, Anjan Dutta, Nachiketa, Shilajit, Swapan Basu, and her interest began to be an independent singer-songwriter at the age of Fifteen. After completing her Masters, she went to Bangladesh to teach in a university where her surroundings inspired her more to sing Bengali songs and in 2007, she launched her first Album. When she was at the height of publicity she left singing and went to London in 2008 for Higher education where her life became quitter harder as she had to do so many odd jobs for living. She used to work as a Bartender, as a waitress, even as a Sim card seller in metro station of London just to have some food on her plate and minimum wages. After here daughter born in 2012 she used to sing to her daughter and she realized that Music never left her. And she decided to start singing. She think that her daughter is the reason she came back in the path of singing. She believed that there is No end of Hoping and there is no end of Dreaming.
