This seminar focused on Health & Wellbeing Centres as integrated healthcare services. These centres often combine health and social care services, public health practice, and other areas of social policy areas with a place-based focus to promote wellbeing in local communities. We invited four speakers to share their perspectives on “How can community wellbeing be supported in the neighbourhood?”. They spoke from research, policy and practice on how to create healthy communities through integrated healthcare services. Speakers: Professor Jane South | Professor of Healthy Communities, Leeds Beckett University Ansaf Azhar | Director of Public Health and Community Safety at Oxfordshire County Council Joanne Smithson | Head of Implementation & Learning and Local Government & Health Sector Lead at the What Works Centre for Wellbeing Simon Sadinsky | Executive Director of The Prince’s Foundation The event was chaired by Dr Astrid Krisch, Postdoctoral Researcher at the GCHU.
