In this video, Sebastian went grocery shopping at Denner in Zermatt. The basic shopping cart continues throughout the “Life of a ski instructor” series and it consists of 1 red pepper, 1 zucchini, 500g of chicken breast, 6 eggs, 500g tomato sauce, 500g rice, 300g can of corn, and 1 baguette (bread). The total price was 21,70€ (Double packaging was considered in the shown price). Accommodation Instructors are expected to find accommodation for the season and the ski school is happy to provide all the support an instructor needs. You can expect to pay from three to five thousand euros per season for the rent - depending if it’s a shared accommodation or a private one and on the location. Most of the instructors find their winter home in town however, 2 villages just a short shuttle ride away is Tasch and Randa where much more affordable accommodation can be found. We do encourage instructors to be located in the town of Zermatt as it gives them the best opportunity to make the most earnings and clients' entertainment can play a big role in the bookings. Map of the area: https://goo.gl/maps/dJNVwTstyQHDG2kT8 Transportation Zermatt is Car-free and served via a main shuttle train from Tasch (the parking hub). The town is serviced by a great frequent electric bus service and the mini Electrical taxis whizzing around everywhere, most instructors use E-bike or E-scooters to get around but this is really not a problem as the town is built around walking and taking the free bus. It isn’t long before you forget all about cars and just enjoy the rate-free experience on offer.
