Helsinki is Finland’s iconic capital - but is it worth a winter trip at Christmas time? With several landmark attractions, we took the ferry from Tallinn in Estonia to Helsinki on the next step of our festive adventure. Sorry that we said in the video that it was our first time in Scandinavia! This was an honest mistake and we continue onto Sweden, Denmark and Norway next (we really didn’t mean to offend anyone!) We should have said Nordic!* ☺️ We were very excited to check out another spectacular Christmas market and explore some of Helsinki’s impressive architecture and history. The frozen seas on Helsinki’s coast are a remarkable phenomenon to witness and no trip to the city is complete without a visit to Suomenlinna Fortress or checking out Market Square.
