The Folk Band find themselves in the lair of Roraurim, having killed the ancient blue dragon and most of her children and minions. Not wanting to walk back through the caverns in their weakened state, potentially having to fight more dragons or minions, Ma'am and Vark team up to use Roraurim's carcass to finish detroying the back wall of the cavern. Reducing her in size and weight, Ma'am and Vark grab her by the tail and swing her before throwing her body against the wall (re-enlarging at the last moment) and watching as the wall breaks and crumbles, launching the body down into the valley below. Curiously, awaiting them on the other side is the airship! They make their way onto the ship, float up and begin their rest for the night. Having earlier learned of the poor state of negotiations between Loudwater and the Stone Giants, the group send a message to Telbor Zazrek (the lord of Loudwater) confronting him on both the negotiations, and insinuating they knew he was under the protection of the Zhentarim. Feigning ignorance, Lord Telbor deflects and says he is willing to talk - and asks when they would be arriving. Ma'am confirms they'll be in Loudwater the next day at noon. In the morning, Ma'am has the druid bring the ship down, where they find Snex and agree to be his sidekicks, picking up another stray, before travelling on to Loudwater. They land outside the town and make their way to the wooden gates, where they are recognized and allowed in. The guards mention Lord Telbor is with another group, and usher them outside the grand hall to wait for their appointment. Roughly 20 minutes later, a guard came to escort the group into the dining hall. Lord Telbor greeted them, and as they sat and ate, they discussed the negotiations and why they were stalled. It quickly became clear that Lord Telbor considered the High Forest his, and that he wanted a "tax" from the Stone Giants to allow them to continue logging. As things heated up, Lord Telbor called for servants to come clear plates away, and Ma'am thought things a bit out of place; elbowing Nyx about her concerns, Nyx looked around and paid a bit more attention to the "servants", noticing their cloaks, their positioning and finally recognizing the faces of the assassins they met in Waterdeep. As they yelled out Zhentarim, the assassins struck, surprising everyone but Ma'am and Nyx, and the Folk Band find themselves surprised by the Shadow Hoard once again, this time without the ability to "Ebondeath" themselves out of danger.
