UH as in 'Run' | Don't Drop Your Jaw! (American Accent Training)

In the American accent, we don't drop our jaws to make the UH sound found in extremely common words like 'run', 'love', 'what', 'up', and 'one'. Many non-native speakers pronounce these words by opening their jaws with their tongues low, causing the UH vowel to sound more like the AH vowel found in words like 'hot' and 'lot'. To pronounce this sound more accurately, keep your jaw relaxed and just let the center of your tongue sink down a little. This is not a particularly open sound -- it's more of a neutral, relaxed sound.
