Gaddesby Gallop 2019 - muddiest 5 mile race ever! (Wade through a pond, drainage pipe & river!)

I wasn't planning to film this impromptu pre-Christmas 5-miler in Gaddesby near Leicester, but when Mehul Vaitha, one of my Patreons who has run it before, told me about wading through the river I HAD to take my GoPro (with all its waterproof bits on!). It was tremendous fun, everyone was so friendly, and thanks very much to those who didn't mind me filming them screaming in the freezing cold river or squelching their way through ankle-deep sludge. Thanks also to Mehul who took some excellent photos of us all doing just that, you can find them here   / mehulvaitha   It's a shame no one fell over while I had the GoPro on, but there is evidence at the end to prove this did happen to some unlucky souls. And there's a blooper of me getting slightly concerned about the GoPro in the river despite it having all its waterproof bits on.
