A Walk Around CDG Train Station & Airport (Gare Et Aeroport), Paris

Charles De Gaulle has its own Train Station, not to mention Subway and Light Rail lines going to and from the Airport. (don't get me started about LAX and how NOTHING connects to it...I am surprised Mayor Bradley didn't have us just walk to the airport...LAX is so poorly conceived, don't get me started) ....now where was I, oh yeah...CDG. Not more to be said except it works like a charm. I took the train straight from Rennes to CDG...no stops in Paris...or transfers. Amazing. That would be like taking a train from Palm Springs to LAX ..no transfer....we can only dream here in California. And from the Train station and a few lifts and moving sidewalks...one is in CDG Airport. This film is about both. Fun Facts below: Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV is a major passenger railway station in Tremblay-en-France, Paris, France. It is located directly beneath terminal two of Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (between the C/D and E/F concourses) and is operated by the SNCF. The station was opened in 1994. It connects the airport to Paris and to various others cities in France, as well as to Belgium. Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, also known as Roissy Airport (or just Roissy in French), is one of the world's principal aviation centres, as well as France's largest international airport. It is named after Charles de Gaulle (1890–1970), leader of the Free French Forces and founder of the French Fifth Republic, as well as the President of France from 1959 to 1969. The airport is located within portions of several communes, 25 km (16 mi) to the northeast of Paris. The airport serves as the principal hub for Air France as well as a European hub for Delta Air Lines. In 2013, the airport handled 62,052,917 passengers and 497,763 aircraft movements, making it the world's eighth-busiest airport and Europe's second-busiest airport (after London Heathrow) in passengers served. It also is the world's tenth-busiest and it is Europe's second-busiest airport (after London Heathrow) in aircraft movements. In cargo traffic, the airport is the eighth-busiest in the world and the busiest in Europe, having handled 2,150,950 metric tonnes of cargo in 2012. On 1 March 2011, Franck Goldnadel was appointed as the director of the airport.
