On July 31st 2024 the S+T+ARTS AIR project had the pleasure to host a knowledge transfer session connected to the artistic residency Garden of Entanglement. The following project collaborators were involved in this session: Hiền Hoàng is an interdisciplinary artist from Vietnam based in Germany. Hoàng’s work explores cultural narratives, human-nature relationships, and identity complexities. Her artistic repertoire includes photography, installation, performance, film, VR and object art. She is the main artist working on the S+T+ARTS AIR residency Garden of Entanglement. Daniel Pietschmann is an interdisciplinary designer, architect, and artist originating from Leipzig and currently based in Hamburg. His creative pursuits span architecture, design, and contemporary art, blending various mediums to investigate political demands, social structures, and the reciprocal influence of humanity and nature within collective and experimental spaces. Andrea Giachetti is a post-doctoral research fellow with the University of Florence, working at the CRIACIV Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. One of his areas of research includes field measurements of tree dynamics with accelerometers. Susanne Malheiros (HLRS) is a research assistant in the visualization department of the HLRS and works for the CEEC project which aims to prepare simulation-based research, especially Computational Fluid Dynamics, for exascale computing. Dr.-Ing. Uwe Wössner (HLRS) has been the head of the HLRS Visualization Department since 2004. He leads the coordination of all HLRS activities in the field of virtual reality, including providing visualization services for University of Stuttgart institutes and HLRS's industry partners. In addition, Wössner has been a guest professor and guest lecturer at the IFOER, ITE, JASEC, TU-Vienna, Austria and at HSR, Rapperswil, Switzerland. He is also co-founder of VirCinity GmbH, and has served as a committee member for VR- and 3D user interface-related conferences such as IEEE VR, IEEE Vis, EuroVR, GI VRAR, SC21. Mauricio Valdés (PINA) has built a multifaceted career spanning research in acoustics, software design, electroacoustic, and experimental music, along with various artistic disciplines. His work ranges from solo instrumental performances to ensemble compositions and mixed media installations. Since 2021, he has been the curator and head of R&D at the HEKA Art and Science Lab at PINA in Koper, Slovenia. Matvey Fridman (MSC & HLRS) is the coordinator of the S+T+ARTS AIR project. He is also a trained media computer scientist (B.Sc.) and film/television engineer (M.Eng.) with experience as a freelance media technician, cinematographer, photographer, lighting technician and web designer/developer, and his interests lie in the interface of art and technology.
