Carol Biazin knew she had skills when she hit the stage of 'X-Factor Brasil' in 2016, but it was all a bit overwhelming. Happily that didn't stop her from participating in 'The Voice Brasil' a year later, where she was a finalist. Not only did those experiences bolster her confidence, they also got her name around. The talent the Paraná native had been testing out in regional situations for a few years proved real: a wider audience was waiting. If you've heard Biazin's 2020 debut, 'Beijo de Judas,' you know the young singer is mature beyond her years. That's why Luísa Sonza, Vitão, Dilsinho and Gloria Groove all accepted invitations to help Carol realize her vision by guesting on the album. They surely paid attention to her rise, which included her catchy "Talvez" debut and moved quickly to the four tracks that comprise her 2019 'S' EP, including "Suas Linhas," a sure sign that Biazin was going to make a sizable dent in Brazilian pop. A tour of the country's key cities put her performance charisma in front of fans who couldn't get enough (check the latest Spotify numbers). Last year’s DVD of the 'Beijo de Judas' songs, in which she’s backed by an all-woman ensemble, clearly shows the audience was on her side. Multi-instrumentalist Biazin, who's unafraid of experimentation, is a strong songwriter as well. She's helped craft hits by Anitta, Vitão, Rouge, and Negra Li. When she hit our London studio for these ATW performances of “Bacardi” and “Fica Pro Café,” she reveled in the chance to create with UK musicians she hadn't previously played with. Courage and fun mix well in Biazin's world, which is shaping up to be a place lots people are gonna want to be in 2023.
