God's love can help transform us, but we also need wisdom to be able to receive God's love. God gives love first in order to make us more sensible and able to imbibe His directions. But we also need sense and wisdom to be able to take love from God. Transforming one's attitude and behaviour through inculcating God's teachings can help one qualify for God's love.
