while @noiseeng gamut repetitor is wildly capable of melodic mayhem, it also serves as an ingenious tool for building simple polyrhythmic loops and applying subtle variations thru buildups. it's a lot of fun to go off and riff with, but so rewarding for my needs once i learned to tame the chaos and work with it harmoniously. it's ultra musical by nature but you can get nice rhythmic dissonance and more aggressively energetic results, depending on how you use it. the @verboselectronics complex oscillator provides the ability to graciously sweep thru a gorgeous palette of timbres previously unachievable without hours of repatching. this provides an important backbone in a system designed for live improvised polyrhythmic dissonant techno. gam-rep is sequencing both voices; verbose complex oscillator x erica synths black LPG for high notes and bassline is built on ericasynths fusion vco x polivoks vcf, NO VCA 😵 both voices are receiving envelope from black dual eg/lfo 🎛️ this combination has me closer than ever to feeling confident in pulling off a live set where i can navigate from one idea to the next in real time without too much experimental nonsense in-transit. not quite there but it's a couple steps away thanks to this reconfiguring. also messed w/opp ned and i must say my feelings are nearly parallel. i may post a vid of it. at first i thought i'd be switching it back and that this gam-rep was just me trying it to know if it would techno, but then tapped into the potential of gam-rep and found myself believing everyone needs one. noise engineering did a phenomenal job on these and i'll likely inevitably incorporate both into the system. they're the perfect balance of deterministic vs stochastic, as well as extremely satisfying to handle. the audible result feels appropriate to the physical changes made on the module when adjusted. these are super playable instruments. working with these w/the satisfying drum-machine feel of the erica drum sequencer's step-sequencer keys, LXR, bassdrum, hi-hats-d, etc. is truly a bliss. #eurorack #modulartechno #gamutrepetitor #verbosecomplexoscillator #techno
