The side of PERU You haven't seen! From Lima, Paracas, Huacachin to Nazca with Peru Hop (SA SERIES) Following a little more than a month in the United States, I flew to the neighboring continent, South America. South America has always been my dream destination, which sparks my passion for travel. I managed to score a really good business flight deal from Houston to Lima, travelling on a United Polaris. After a few days in Lima, trying to make sense of a new continent and a new place, I explored a bit around Miraflores and Barranco, as well as some historical sites. Then I got on PeruHop, which has a good route down to Bolivia and back. The bus trip started from Lima, and the first stop was Paracas, a coastal town in the southwest of Peru, nestled among the desert. PeruHop offers some add-ons, and I enjoyed the pisco sour classes and the Golden Shadow trek. After Paracas, I went to Huacachina, the oasis in the middle of the desert. I had lots of fun sandboarding and on the bungee ride, which was unexpectedly fun. I tried to catch a sunset, but the weather didn’t allow it. After that, I moved on to the Nazca Lines and saw them from the tower instead of taking a flight. In June 2023, I gave up a well-paying career, along with many other things, to go on a round-the-world trip that I've always dreamt of doing. It has been liberating so far, and I'm very grateful for being able to do this especially with my Burmese passport.
