I think this method of soundproofing will be most effective against city/traffic type noise, I should have clarified that in the video. I could still hear the dogs barking after I put the acrylic/plexiglass up but it reduced the volume a bit, and made it sound like they were barking outside my unit, not inside. (I've since moved from that cottage) I was definitely glad I did it but people should temper their expectations if they're doing this to quiet the sound of dogs barking. Traffic noise should be greatly reduced though. In order to find acrylic/plexiglass sheets in your area, do a google search for "Plastic supplies". I don't remember the brand of window seal I used but I bought it at Home Depot I think. I used more narrow foam for the bottom edge.
