The fly was named after Mrs Simpson, as legend has it, because this fly worked so well on catching trout, and the way Mrs Simpson almost lured King Edward VIII into marriage. It was only fitting that the fly was named after the Duchess Of Windsor. The Mrs Simpson fly is a great streamer for trout and bass and is meant to imitate crayfish or dragonfly larva.
