The state started its closing arguments on Friday afternoon in the murder case of Florida mom Laurie Shaver. The prosecution told the jury that all of the evidence shown in court proved that Laurie killed her husband on November 2015. His body was discovered buried beneath a concrete slab in Laurie Shaver’s backyard. In a shocking twist, the couple’s daughter confessed to the crime, claiming she shot her father to protect her mother, who allegedly said he was abusing her at the time. However, in opening statements, Laurie Shaver’s attorney said her lover, Jereme Townshend, shot and killed Michael.
