hey friends! 🌞 spend the morning taking care of some plants with me! let me explain what some of the things i do in this video since i don't talk during it: 1) first i am misting a few of my plants. certain plants (particularly tropical ones) need more humidity and moisture than others, so i mist them occasionally to supplement the regular humidity of the room. 2) then i replace the water in my green onions and some propagations. it is best to replace the water about once a week to keep the propagations or any plant growing in water healthy. 3) next, i wipe off the leaves of a few of the plants. if the leaves get too dusty it can damage the plant. it also decreases the amount of light the plant can take in, which we don't want in an already limited light apartment! 4) you can see me using a wooden skewer to poke holes in the soil of a few plants. this is aerating the soil. if you notice certain pots of soil are retaining moisture for too long (which can cause root rot) you may need to help them along with the drying out process. Using a stick to drill down into the soil introduces air into the lower layers of the soil and root system, enabling the plant to fully dry out. 5) the last thing i do is prune a plant. older leaves on peace lilies (the plant in this video) naturally wilt and die as the new growth comes out of the center. i am just cutting off those dead leaves so the plant can use its full energy on the new growth. i hope this video was soothing and relaxing for you! i really enjoyed spending my morning giving the plants some tlc, and i really really appreciate you joining me
