On the Toyota 4.0L timing chain cover there is a square plate that covers the timing chain tensioner. That gasket fails over time and causes an oil leak. It's very easy to repair. Get some Toyota Seal Packing 103 FIPG. Clean the timing chain cover and the square cover and then apply FIPG to the backside of the square cover and then put the 4 10MM bolts back in place.
