Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band Year: 1967 Source: The Beatles: Rock Band The title track (and its follow-up segue single) from the album that pretty much defined the Summer of Love and, more broadly, 1960's counterculture. Not too often that a song I FC gets that kind of lofty appraisal, but then the Beatles are always a special case, aren't they? Neither song is too difficult to sing. 'Sgt. Pepper's' has some interesting rapid-fire lyricism coupled with some fun sustains ('Biiiii-lyyyyy SHEEEAARRRS') and I always enjoy songs where Ringo has the mic, so 'With a Little Help from My Friends' is a joy to jam along to! As with my RB1/2/LEGO FCs, I don't look up the OD paths, so what you see here is me just winging it with activations based on where I think phrase density is in the chart. Sometimes it works, sometimes it most assuredly does not. But the FC is the prize, not some position on a long-obsolete leaderboard.
